Celestial Pathway

neverstray:

A lamp
              will pierce
a veil
              as the night
puncturing holes in the sky,
forming

A trail
created
by the stars
for all to follow
to the finish line
where,

A world
    is discovered
        past the starlight,
             past the stardust
                  that is eventually
                      taken into my being
                            as in passing
                                    the sand of this outer space ocean
                                                               clogs the pores in my eyes
                                          and the perforations of this extraterrestrial shroud
                                                                      blend together in a disorienting miasma
                                                                      until,

                                                             A mind
                                    weighed down
                    drifts back
to a familiar
atmosphere
distant to life,
but known to a consciousness
as

A stasis,
only to be found
at the end of the night’s
starlit,
stardusted,
celestial pathways,
asleep,
I finally dream.
